Decimomannu AB. For 70 years of a 32° wing was painted one AMX with camouflage Savoia Marchetti SM79, bomber of World War II

Decimomannu AB. Captain Armando Boetto old medal for bravery after he was shot down and killed flying a Savoia Marchetti SM.79 when attacking Gibraltar. 32°wing was based in Decimomannu.

Didnt the AMI paint one like this a number of years ago? Or is this the same airframe? (mm7141)

Besides an ugly paintscheme (although very fitting for the ugly SM79) also a bit misplaced if you ask me. Remember that the Regina Aeronautica was already bombing civilian cities in Ethiopia before the bombing of Guernica, Warsaw, Rotterdam ever happend. Think it is not correct to 'glorify' that period in the RA's history. Like painting a Luftwaffe Eurofighter in Heinkel 111 colours. But this is no board for politics so back to topic.
