Copied from the latest ch-aviation newsletter:

Lufthansa has announced its supervisory board has approved plans to order a total of 108 aircraft for the Lufthansa Group. The orders approved includes two additional A380-800 and 30 A320-200s for Lufthansa as well as six B777-300(ER)s for subsidiary Swiss. Lufthansa is still in talks with Airbus to also finalized an order for 35 A320neo and 35 A321neo aircraft that has however also already been approved by its board.

And another big one: Ryanair confirms an order for 175 B737-800's (down from 200 that had initially been expected by analists), according to this Dutch newspaper:

http://www.parool.nl/parool/nl/30/ECONO ... eing.dhtml

Their aim is to grow to a fleet of 400 B737's by 2018.
