Re: Wittmund (ETNT) - 2013 MIL
Hi,
I hope someone will help me with spotting on Wittmund.
Do somebody knows how many waves there normally are on Wittmund??
And do they fly every day except the weekends??
And is monday or tuesday a good day to go, or do you have a lot of luck to see the Phantoms at Wittmund??
This because i want to go next monday or tuesday to Wittmund.

@ Heron.
We were there too on Wednesday 24/04 from 08h00 on. In the morning only 2 phantoms flew:
38+48 took off at 08h30lt and went to Laage and returned around 17h00lt
38+37 took off at 09h40lt and landed again at 10h37lt
The 2 spare QRA's were 38+10 (special sheme) and 37+22 (which later on broke up and they towed it to the maintenance). they replaced it with an other one, but don't know which one.

Re: Wittmund (ETNT) - 2013 MIL
If this is true that the 5x Mirage F1 departed on Monday i'll be there next monday!!
I've seen also the F1s at Leeuwarden last Thursday, but are this the same aircrafts that are also on Leeuwarden??
I hope that it will be a nice day monday, and of course i will share my photos here on Scramble and at my website.
Many thanks for your information Wim & Kier.
Have a nice weekend!!!

Re: Wittmund (ETNT) - 2013 MIL
The Numbers of the Mirage F1 are:
647 / 118-CB
654 / 118-NC
658 / 118-NQ
659 / 118-NT
662 / 118-NF
Departure after 14.00 local 2+2+1.
The last (single) one was 654 / 118-NC. So this might be the spare.
Beside the Mirages it was a very quite day. Only 1 Phantom flying. The 38+33. (Good weather for burners!).
P3C 60+05 did two approaches.
No QRA.
38+33 was towed into a Hangar in the afternoon.
647 / 118-CB
654 / 118-NC
658 / 118-NQ
659 / 118-NT
662 / 118-NF

Re: Wittmund (ETNT) - 2013 MIL
Does anybody know if there will be any flying at Wittmund on Wednesday the 8th of May next week?
It is just before ascension day, which is a public holiday. We are planning to go there on the 8th, so any information is welcome!
Thanks a lot,
Corné Uittenbogaard

I'd rather depict atmosphere and the 'heat of the moment' making a catchy photo than to reflect the real situation and real colours showing a boring photo.

Re: Wittmund (ETNT) - 2013 MIL
If you are a facebook-user, you should vist the phantom-pharewell-site!
There you can find all the information about the last activities from the lovely Phantom!
If you are not at facebook, you should know the following:
On the 8th of May, there will be the "phirst last phlight" of the 37+01!!!
So, you should visit ETNT. When the QRA is also phlying, this could be your perfect Phantom-day!

Re: Wittmund (ETNT) - 2013 MIL
thanks for the information regarding 37+01 but I can not find any hint on their Facebook site!?
And according to NOTAM service, then airfield will have radar support from Bremen until early afternoon only? So we can expect some kind of low "Friday" flying only?

Exactly. I guess it will officially rollout tomorrow. But unfortunately weather forecast is not the best. Phull Burners for everyone going there tomorrow!Richard de Florennes wrote:thanks for the information regarding 37+01 but I can not find any hint on their Facebook site!?
