Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

No!
The only operational aircraft is the Tornado.
But we left at 14.15hrs.... maybe it arrived later in the afternoon.

Re: Weeze Airshow (MIL/Civ)
I was today at Weeze and leaved at 17:30.
The weather was nice (clouds and sunny), but we had sometimes the sun into front of our face, so this was not very nice for photographing.
Because this airport was still on activity with the aircrafts of Ryanair the Airshow had several (long) breakes.
We has to wait sometimes for a very long time before we get an another show.
I have missed a lot of shows and aircrafts like the DC-3 + 25 Skydivers, P-51, OV-10B, etc. I don't think this shows were after the time that i've leaved Weeze.
The Tornado from Aufklärungsgeschwader 51 "Immelmann" (Schleswig-Jagel) was nice to see without fences.
For me this is something for one time, it must be next time much better with more military aircrafts and spectacular airshows will i come back to Weeze.
I will uploaded soon some pictures of today.

Re: Weeze Airshow (MIL/Civ)
A fairly disappointing airshow I thought. No Typhoons, and half of the participants on the website was not there. In addition, long pauses between the (moderate) demos. No opposite passes and mirror passes meant very short demos in this case. It'll take a while before I go to a 'propellor' show again, there should be backburners on every show!
On the other hand: nice weather, I got to play with my new 500mm lens again, the Catalina demo, and the Wing Walkers (of course )
