Hi all,

Can anyone confirm that there will be a flying programme on the spottersday on June 28th @ Wittmund? Or is it just a walk around the static as I was led to believe yesterday ay the Volkel airshow?

Thanks,
Aladin

Hi aladin,

Visitors for the airshow will arrive on thursday and friday morning.

On saturday during the airshow there is flying activiy. See the Phantom Pharewell website for this. I do not know if there is any rehearsel scheduled for friday afternoon. Normally flying stops around 12.00 hours on a friday in Germany. If the last is the case only static on friday afternoon.

Grtz, Edward.

frank kramer wrote:You're lucky, Rene, as the information sheet on the website of the Luftwaffe states "Stay only on the public and opened areas, because there will be flying operation during your visit."

Apart from that, it also states "Be advised that the aircraft at display are in place for the "Tag der offenen Tür" on the next day and therefore cannot be moved for a better shot! Some fences may be in place due to safety regulations and will also have to stay in place."

Above text makes us believe that there will be flying activity during the spottersday too!
Scrolling through these six pages and looking at the official Pharewell-page, no info can be found on these ;

- Saab T-17 RDAF
- F-16 BAF
- Hawk RAF
- Alpha Jet BAf
- EF-18 SpAF
- C-295 PolAF
- F-16 Klu

Also the likes of the Greek F4, RAF Tornado Gr4 and Polish MiG29 have been mentioned too. Hopefully they'll give us confirmation on the Facebook page soon!

Correct; probably the moderators operating in line with the message in the header of the "airshow" section...

"Post all airshow-related items here. Please keep the postings as informative and to-the-point as possible. Refrain from postings with the sole intention to communicate whether you like the show or not, unless accompanied by arguments that can help others"

...possibly moved to the topic with the same name but with "opinions, chit-chat rtc." added.

Maybe I missed it, but what can we expect of the flying activities on the 29th?

I've seen that, but what will be flying. Only Phantoms(which is OK by me :D ), or maybe a little airshow...?

Well, I guess the Typhoons will be taking over the Phantom task, so it wouldn't surprise me if we get a flyby of the two aircraft together.
