For what it's worth: Those two said it was cancelled due to weather, but it would be squeezed in during the afternoon again. Although I did see the Polish preparing it for something during the afternoon, it didn't fly until I left at about 4 o' clock to beat the masses.

@Orange: Thank you for your reaction on this forum. The people with critical opinions on the airshow/static itself are hopefully more understanding now why some choices are made, and realize that there were a lot of aircraft. You only had to have your eyes open!

The only thing what wakes me up at night sreaming loud, is the choice of the commentary as mentioned in my first post in this thread. It stands apart from the airshow, and maybe `slippery ice` but why has been chosen for this construction if the incorrect information also ends up at a DVD?

Orange,

Please don't let these so-called enthousiasts get to you. Visited on Saturday and judging by the faces of the 150.000 people around me, the overwhelming majority had an awesome time. I have been going to airshows for almost 30 years and enjoyed this year's Luchtmachtdagen immensely! A BIG thank you to all involved for their efforts, you fully succeeded in making this airshow a succes!!

@Orange and all others who were involded in making the Luchtmachtdagen at Volkel possible: Thanks! My two boys of nearly three years old and I had a wonderful day, despite the two hours of traffic jam. We really enjoyed the well balanced airshow (my boys were really impressed by Frecce and Red Arrows, as they were "painting rainbows in the sky") and the static. My compliments! Guess we'll be back for Gilze next year!

Indeed one of the top 3 air shows in Europe this year, and maybe the best !
A lot of special aircraft and special countries and also a lot of aircraft of the RNlAF and for me a lot of "new" serial numbers. So also a big HURRAY for "JB5" and its colleagues.

I can not agree more with all the positive comments about the show and about those who organised it. I really enjoyed it. KLu open dagen are always great fun.
