Hi Folks
Visited together with Johan Knijn the "mini-Antalya" in Western Europa last weekend which is naturally Barcelona El Prat.
The Saturday was by far the best day, all "major" Russian holiday-charter carriers were present and even Red Wings showed up on Saturday as I believe they only started flying again about a fortnight ago.
As said, the Sunday was quiet in comparison to Saturday but my big surpise for the weekend was the Atlantic Airways A319 from the Faroe Islands.
Won't bother you with the loads of Vueling which has almost wiped out Iberia... the only Iberia's I saw where al very vague in colours...like the financial condition of the company itself...
Now on with the pics...enjoy!
Greetings From Holland,
Vinz

Hi Vinz,
First of all: nice pictures!
Next a few questions: I am planning to visit El-Prat in the summer.
How are the spotters locations? I know about the spotters platform at runway 25R and how reach it.
Where did you take the first photo? And the photo of the Transaero 73?
And did you use the public transport? I know bus PR3 visits almost all spot locations.
Do you know how the traffic is on a monday or friday? I really want to catch the Norwegian 787
Thanks in advance!

Hi Twan
Thanks for the compliment first.
Loactions are pretty ok. Once the sun is over the 25R after about 4pm the light gets better all the time, that's where f.e. the Yakutia is made, thats in fron of the carpark at the cemetry.
Nice roof there against too much sun for you. too.
The Atlantic A319 was made next to the building of terminal 1. On Sunday 07L was the landing rwy for a while so we stayed a few hours next to terminal 1.
Park your car in in carpark in front of T1, go to 2nd floor with elevator. Out of elevator enter terminalbuilding in front of you and go one floor up. Then go outside again, facing your carparkbuilding again... but go to the right and walk to the far end just before the road slopes down again. There that spot is.
We used a hire car so don't have any info on busses.
I think Saturday is a must. Rest of days traffic is slower and far less ciss traffic. The difference between sunday and saturday already was huge.
I don't have any info on monday en fridays, sorry.
Rgds

Hi Vinz,
Thanks for your quick but extensive reply! If 07L is the active I will try the spot next to terminal 1, some nice photos you made there.
If saturday is a must, I might go two separate days. If I can get my girlfriend to spent two days at an airport with me
Thanks again for the tips and I if all works out I will post my results on here!
