Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

During my family holiday I visited the airfield of the Academia General del Aire twice. The T-35's fly from the old, short runway 05L 23R near the civil air terminal. The C101's and other aircraft use the main runway 05R 23L. On the western site ( 05 ) the viewing and photographic possibilities are awesome ( stepladder advised ). On the eastern site ( 23 ) the situation is worse because the runway and the Academia strech out into the sea. A lot of the C101's wear the colourscheme of the Patrulla aguila. It looks to me that when the aircraft of this team are switched they keep their display colours. The real active Patrulla aguila C101's can be recognized by means of a smoke injection pipe behind the exhaustnozzle. Beware of a hazard on the best spot for taking pictures at 05R. This is in the middle of a very active gay meeting place. So expect lot's of men passing by too many times looking for 'fresh meat'. My personal experience is that they use a very direct approach. As a heterosexual married man this situation was very inconvenient. On my second visit on July 16 I wore my camera very obvious and avoided eye contact. This seemed to work and holded of indecent proposals.

No issues with the military police and civil security patrol at all. They drove by several times and only gave friendly waves.
