2013 was my first 'real' spotters year . Last year I started taking pictures seriously at the Florennes airshow . Before that that I've only been to the Open Days of the Royal Netherlands Air Force (beside ine trip to Koksijde ). Together with Roelof-Jan Gort we immediately got started properly by making a website to show our photographs: Dutch Aviation Photography.
But enough with the nostalgic drivel, pictures!
01. The year started with Frisian Flag .
02. Yes! At 07:10 I was one of the " Lucky 71 ", who were going to wittness the unveiling of the special paint Phantom at Wittmund.
03. Made it onto the spottersday on Volkel, and made a 3-day event from it.
04.
05. This was new, and very cool! And with prop blur , not bad for a beginner right?
06. The Orange Lion, mentioned by the commentators standard as the Orange Jumper. (What was not as bad as calling the Bolkow a machine of the Wehrmacht, there was a German right next to me spitting fire)
07. If we're talking about commentators , this was the show that was the most difficult to photograph because of camerashake from laughter .
08.
09. I also went for two days to the Phantom Pharewell. This Skyhawk made a catch hook landing because of a message that the landing gear was not down.
10. In the afternoon we went outside the base, not a bad idea, everything happened a lot closer with good light on it.
11.Valenciennes is also a cool airshow in northern France. It's also better outside the field.
12.
13. Cool, the Rafale demo. Demo of the year if you ask me.
14. After receiving a tip that Mirage F1s will come, we once again traveled to Wittmund.
15.
16. Because of traffic jams I was just too late for the Apache demo on Gilze-Rijen, but I was able to make a nice sunset photo of the Chinooks that were parked close to the road for a change.
17. We also went to the spottersday at Kleine Brogel.
18.
I am excited about 2014, I already checked what the cool events were and made this schedule:
Exercise Frisian Flag - Leeuwarden AB
Exercise "Green Shield" - BA133 Nancy/Ochey
Exercise "Jawtex 2014" - Schleswig-Jagel
ILA - Berlin Schönefeld
Phalsbourg Airshow - Phalsbourg/Bourscheid
NATO Tiger Meet - Schleswig-Jagel
Luchtmachtdagen - Gilze Rijen

Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) - RAF Fairford
Meeting de l' air Valenciennes - Prouvy Aerodrome
10 Years EF-2000 - Rostock/Laage

See if it works , 2014 promises to be a great year!

Not bad huh?
The CH-01 put up an awesome display despite the fact that is was tired, some serious low level action from the Belgian C-130 pilot.
