Re: some old 80's pics of Soesterberg AB.
Canadian Hornets visited Soesterberg on a regular basis during the Eighties , but not too many pictures of these aircraft have yet been posted in this Topic , I believe. To fill in this gap a little bit it is my pleasure to add the following two ,
of which I hope you will like them.
Kind Regards ,
Hans

Very nice selection! Brings back very good memories...
Didn't these just visit one night, arriving on the 9th of June 1991 (c/s "I6953") and departing the 10th?awacs wrote:10.Fiat G91 departing after weekendbreak

Re: some old 80's pics of Soesterberg AB.
Didn't one of those G-91Ys snatch the barrier with this nose wheel on arrival, causing the aircraft the slide on its nose over the runway?
I remember those Canberra's and Mirage F1s - did you took those from the little transformer station we used to climb onto?

Re: some old 80's pics of Soesterberg AB.
I remember the two Norwegian F-16's as being able to climb in and take photographs of.
Was it for a small spottersday?

Speaking of Norwegians - does anyone has a photo of that Norwegian F-16 landing gear-up on its belly tank at Soesterberg?
At least one person made an awesome photo of it, I had a print of it somewhere but it must have been lost when I moved between countries.
