Six P-3C Orions of the Japanese JMSDF have been damaged when a maintenance hangar roof collapsed because of snow on February 15th. Probably at the Nippi plant at NAS Atsugi airbase. Looks like the damage is severe considering the whole facade of the hangar is bend.

Re: six P-3C Orions damaged when hangar collapses
Given that JMSDF P-3s are being withdrawn from service anyway, the next 6 to be withdrawn could well be these 6.
Damage to the one with it's tail protruding through the roof will be extensive.

The condition of several U.S. Navy and Japan Self-Defense Force surveillance planes is still unknown after heavy snow caused the roof of a hangar to collapse Saturday near Naval Air Facility Atsugi, according to U.S. and Japanese officials.

Japanese sources have said that the JMSDF had 3 P-3Cs, 1 OP-3C, 1 EP-3 and 1 UP-3D inside the hangar at the time of the collapse.
More details, plus a satellite view of the hangar (before the collapse) can be found at this link.

Re: six P-3C Orions damaged when hangar collapses
They estimated 3*P-3C and one OP-3 will not fly anymore.
And it will take more than one year for their repair for one EP-3 and one UP-3D.
(JDA release on 25 Apr., 2014.)
