Hi,
Sometimes the family album can be quite suprising..
a picture of Sabena S-58C OO-SHG which went to the Belgian air force as B9 and just flew a few months as such before being taken off charge after a heavy landing due to a engine failure.

If someone recognize the surroundings, pleas let us known. We have no idea where the picture is taken.

Rotterdam Waalhaven heliport perhaps? There was a service from there to Brussels or Antwerp in those days i believe.

The "Katshoek", rather near the Railway lines "Hofpleinlijn" and the main line from Rotterdam to Utrecht, is now completely built over.

Not sure if Heliport Rotterdam is the right location. The passengers on the picture lived in St. Oedenrode, Brabant. The buildings visible in the back doesn't look "Rotterdams" to me. But it 's hard to tell from the pictures I found so far.
BTW, There's is also a picture from the other side taken ;

It wouldn't surprise me if this is Eindhoven city heliport? Sabena had a regular service with S.58's to that heliport at the Boutenslaan. Today there's a driving course training park on that terrain.

Hi Stephan,
Thanks. Didn't know there was a Heliport once at Eindhoven too.
I am gonna see if there's info about that and if there are matches. We also know that the granddad of my gf was a frequent traveller with relatives in Germany.
We will keep things posted, as I really want to know the exact location

Quote from Eindhoven In Beeld website:
(sorry, it's a quote in Dutch, not the mandatory English...)
Normaal was 12 personen. Wassink uit Tilburg voor luchtvracht - See more at: http://www.eindhoveninbeeld.com/foto.ph ... 7wJx2.dpuf
