The US carrier activity by the George HW Bush CAG has been long-planned and this group is en route to replace the USS Harry S Truman CAG currently somewhere in the Arabian Gulf.

Once the USS Truman CAG enters the Med on the way home, it will be interesting to see if this CAG remains in the eastern Med.

As far is known no other CAGs have been deployed, and going by the pattern of their deployment, none should (famous last words!) until the Bush CAG come up for replacement towards the end of the year.

And were goes the LHD-5 Bataan with 22 MEU now in Aegean. Planned to got Persian Gulf and replace LHD-4 Boxer and the 13 MEU.

LHD-4 Boxer made already 4 February port visit in Eilat.

There are 7 Arleigh Burke destroyers in the Mediterranean.

According intervju with Kelly is US no longer trusting Russia in the chemical reduction handling, and shall overtake the reduction of chemicals from Syria. This means more work for allied naval forces!!

An US UAV is jammed and "taken over" over Crimea.

The UAV is a UAV MQ-5B after Russian sources. According the Rostec flew the UAV 4000m over Crimea then it was jammed. The Rostec has produced the jamming equipment ut didnt tell who used the equipment then disturbing.

The UAV fell over the "self defence forces" nearly intact.

40 Mi-8 and Mi-24 transferred to Millerovo air base. Helicopter cavalry expecting of special forces and airborne forces into Ukraine.

Millerovo is placed close to the southern part of Ukraine. Millerovo is a MiG-29 based with 24 MiG-29 and 6 MiG-29UB. Russia have maibee dispersed their combat planes to secondary bases to avoid attacking by NATO planes. Dispersing and more used tanker aircraft reported after the earlier exercises.

Millerovo belongs to the Southern OSK. The Northern OSK have certainly based their helicopters on the same way on a large airbase, and dispersed some combat planes.
