Re: "spotters archive soesterberg"
I suppose this is an appropriate place for the following post:
it is with great grief that I have to inform you, that my brother, Martien Heijmen, passed away yesterday at the age of 52.
Despite the fact that he had been ill for a long time, he always remained positive. He fought bravely against his illness, until the very last moment.
He leaves behind his wife and two daughters.
Visible on several photos of the Soesterberg Spotters Archive, many will remember Martien as one of the hard-core spotters at Soesterberg in the eighties. More recently, he designed patches for a.o. the Hellenic, German and Turkish Air Force.
May he rest in peace.
Gerard Heijmen
