As expectet, the russian participation was cancelled:
Source: https://www.news.admin.ch/message/index ... g-id=54045Russia not to participate in Air14
Bern, 12.08.2014 - The DDPS has decided to cancel participation by Russian pilots and aircraft in the Air14 air show. This corresponds with the previous and current policy of exercising restraint in the area of military contacts with Russia.
A squadron of the Russian Knights was scheduled to take part in Air14, flying Su-27 fighter aircraft. The DDPS has decided, in consultation with the FDFA, to cancel their participation. Even in times of crisis it is important to maintain contacts. Nevertheless, military contacts are of a special nature and in the present circumstances it would be preferable to show restraint. The DDPS has therefore decided, after careful consideration, that participation by the Russian Knights in Air14 would not be appropriate at this time.

Is there anywhere on the fenceline at Payerne that is good for taxiing shots?
Re: Payerne 30/31 Aug, 6/7 Sep: 100 years Swiss AF
Most of the planes were scheduled for two days. Now, most of them are only for a day. Some of ,,confirmed" aircrafts like MiG-15 are missing. I'm expecting more ,,surprises".

I'm not sure which Mig-15 was confirmed but if it was the Polish one, it's because it's no longer flying, the foundation have ceased operations with it in any case.

I know that they've CNL. That's why i doubt about the appearance of that Jet. And to be honest, i guess those Hornets at Romania do have other task's than participating in a Static Display..............Richard from Rotterdam wrote:As far as I know the Canadians cancelled their European tour ages ago.
I hope we are not getting any other "bad" surprises the next couple of days!!

Anything known for tomorrow (Thursday)?
Will the Midnight Hawks, Ramex Delta and the Polish Su-22 pair also operate out of Payerne or from Emmen?

If you look at the official Swiss AF website http://www.lw.admin.ch/Tigerspoon wrote:In general it would be nice if someone can give infos about who is operating out of emmen, meiringen, etc

you will see that Emmen is open in week 35/36/37 for all
types of a/c, also in connection with AIR14
This site mentions at Meiringen:
25.08.-05.09.2014 (Wo 35-36)
- Kein geplanter Jetbetrieb
For the benefit of Mr. Kite, there will be a show tonight on trampoline

For all I know all non-swiss participants will operate from Payerne AB. Emmen AB is the first alternate and the base for some participants of the program point "Tribute 100 years " Dübendorf is only the spare field (or at most the Ju52 and B17) and the employes from Meiringen and Sion will work at the named Airbases. According the swiss "Skynews" magazin the individual support aircrafts for the display teams should come to Emmen. And as far as I know also some business jets. Older sources says, that the Mirage and Hunters from Payerne will moved to Emmen. But the last things could be wrong now.
Following aircraft are at least planned at Emmen AB
jets: 1x F-18 (100 years paint sheme), F-5F, DH100 and Hunter (PS paint sheme),
fixed wing: Pilatus P2, P3, Morane, C-3603, Pc-7 orange, Pc-9, B131, P51 (not in Emmen due to technical problems).
helicopters: Alouette II/III, EC635, SP
