Gendarmerie hangar at Zaventem

Hi all,

Please could some one tell me co-ordinates or where the hangar is ,as we need to see the Alouette that is hanging from the roof, and are the preserved compound aircraft easy to see at the entrance.

From the base entrance it's the square hangar building to the left, basically the most left building. Not the easiest one to look into from outside the base as far as I remember.

Across from the main entrance, there's another gate leading to the compound. Through the gate you'll get a view of the preserved aircraft. You'll recognize whitewashed buildings at the entrance.

Of course you can ask at the gate, but expect "no". Especially regarding the current situation in Belgium (terrorism-fear)

Indeed dont expect that they will let you in.
Only possible when you have arranged a base visit in advance.
But you can off course always give it a try!.
Like Michel says it will be not easy especialy with the terrorism fear the security levels wil probaly be high.
The good thing is the Alouette 2 in the Gendarmerie hangar is vissible without a base visit.
There is a big window in the the Gendarmerie hangar and if you have a good look it is easy vissible.
