Last week I had an amazing trip in Switzerland. Again a very successful photo trip, the year 2015 could not start better for me.
I start the photo series with the photos which I made during the dark hours. In Meiringen we had the unique opportunity to
structurally shoot night shots in the absolute darkness during the WEF. I had therefore the ability to train my night shot skills
again during this event. During the dark hours only the Hornets were flying sorties. I will post the photos of the Tiger later post,
because that was definitely the main purpose of the trip. In 2 days at least 8 different Tigers and 12 different Hornets flew.
The take-off and the shelter shots are made just before sun rise. I had to work with a very high ISO setting, but it was fun with
the orange afterburner stripes. The static shots on the runway were made when the aircraft were waiting for take-off with shutter
speeds of around 5 to 10 seconds. It was at this time really dark, because there was no moon light available due to cloudy
weather conditions. Sometimes I miss the back side of the Hornets, because I could not see the aircraft at all of due to the too
short distances!
