Just read in the newspaper that the Lancaster, joined by the dutch Spitfire, will make a flypast over Gouda on May 2nd, about 13.50? You can read more about it here: http://goudsepost.nl/nieuws/bommenwerpe ... -1.4850065
This is all part of the 'Operation Manna' commemorations.

I don't see it anywhere on their schedule or site. Anyone who can confirm this? Would love to see that beauty from my backyard

The Lancaster and the Spitfire will fly over The Hague, Terbregge and Gouda and we will show the food droppers how much we still appreciate their missions of mercy! Come to terbregge on 2 May at 1400 hrs......

Nowadays they don't publish every appearance in their schedule, especially flypasts etc are gone from their published program. Also venues abroad are hardly mentioned (Last year there were people that were claiming they would not come at Gilze as it wasn't on their site).

The great handy Excel sheet isn't made public anymore I wouldn't be surprised if they plan to return to the UK on the same day, as the next day they are scheduled at Abingdon, and they will not be too happy to take the risk to be weathered in on the continent. They can carry enough fuel to cross the North Sea twice in one sortie (as has been done before, also during its BBMF days).

This morning in Noordhollands Dagblad:

A number of flypasts will be carried out during May 2 by PA474, starting (the number of flypasts that is, no mention of an actual take off, maybe they are saving that for August?) at Texel and the last one should be at Terbregseplein. The man that is planning it from the side of the RNLAF is a well known person on this board whose name should be easy to guess (taking into account where the first event takes place). Further info should be made public at http://www.texelairport.nl (probably due to juggling his different baseball caps) but I couldn't find it there yet.
