What's the occasion? Doesn't look very exciting at first glance... 5NM radius, upto 3,000ft only.......... :o

How can newspapers get away with printing such garbage?! No B-52s arrived at Fairford today...

LOL...I was wondering what was going on.
If any BUFFs had come near the UK I would have read about it somewhere.
I stumbled on that article today and wondered why I didn't see any mention of it on the forums.

Unbelievable.
A few weeks ago the same article was a thread on the Fighter Control UK forum. I believe it goes about the 2014 deployment of B-52's at Fairford instead of the upcoming deployment in June....

3 x B-52s arrived today at FFD:

ZARP43 - 60-0018 [MT]
ZARP44 - 60-0047 [MT]
ZARP45 - 61-0040 [MT]

Rumours of some 2x B-2s to follow in the "coming days"....?

As aforementioned all in connection with Sabre Strike/BALTOPS excercise.

Arriving early this morning were the following B-2's
82-1068
88-0329
After I left apparently 88-0329 returned Stateside whilst 82-1068 is hangared having gone tech.

Some rumors say every day 2 B-2's arriving at FFD and making a quick turn after crewchange. This is for two weeks. One allready departed but the second is inside because went tech.
