Corfu Airport - June 7-17 2015 Mil & Civ, photo heavy
Due to exceeding bandwidth photos are temporarily not visible. Trying to fix asap.
This year the vacation was to Corfu, had a hotel close to the airport and spent almost every day at the airport, sometimes full days. It is a really awesome place to do spotting, great views and aircraft. Although it is a lot of the Thomas and Tui group from different countries, we saw a lot of nice special ones and new airlines for us.
Here a impression of those great vacation days.
First up the Mil/Government aircraft
1. Greek C-130 at the first day of the vacation, turned out to be a regular at the sunday(?), possible for medevacs. Second sunday of the vacation we missed it.
2. Cessna of the Republic of Bosnia-Herzegovina
3. Qatar Amiri flight A320 was a nice treat, to bad we missed his bigger brother two days before it.
4. And by far the absolute magnificient closer of the vacation. M-18B Dromader firefighting aircraft of the Greek Air Force. Two arrived that day.
And the Civvies:
5. Ural Airlines A320.
6. In the evening a lot would arrive, mainly Ryanair, Travel Service and Aegean. tried to make the best of it.
7. Sunweb Transavia
8. Nice Hawker bizzer
9.. Enter Air which came frequently with several 737's
10. Astra Airlines ATR-72
11. Thomas Cook A321 wearing new colours and sharklets
12. Jet2 757, i agree with the great flying times.
13. Thomas Cook 757 with "Egypt - Where it all begins" titles
14. Arkia Embraer
15. British Airways A320 with sharklets
16. Finally got this special from Tui
17. Luxair in the evening
18. SkyExpress Jetstream.
19. Managed to grab out taxi during the vacation.
20. Ellinair 737
21. Israir A320 in new colours, note the special equipment on the belly under the rear cargodoor just behind the wing
22. Smartwings 737 for Travel Service, one of many leases for Travel Services
23. Nouvelair A320 flying for Travel Service
24. One of many Thomson 737's during the vacation
25. El Al flight operating on behalf of Sun D'or which was always announced without checking flight schedules
26. Ambulance Learjet from Luxembourg
27. Smartlynx A320
28. Nice surprise, freshly manufactured Cessna C-208 Caravan Amphibian. Destination unknown.
29. Thomson 757 turning at runway 35 after back track.
30. Jettime in the evening
31. Sunwing new colours flying for Thomson. Nice!
32. When they applied power it created some nice effects.
33. Sunwing during the evening
34. First new coloured Transavia for me, turned out to be a Frenchie.
35. Aviolet 737
36. Jetairfly Embraer
37. SAS Retro, we had lucky with this one, the first Sunday we saw it, and also on the second sunday.
38. Jet2 in different colours.
40. Small Planet A320
41. Again a Sunwing 737, with Smartwing titles, flying for Travel Service.
42. Edelweiss looking lovely in the sun
43. Hybride TuiFly. old colours, new titles and scimitars
44. Special Condor, with different titles on both sides
45. XL airways 737
46. Prescott Support CASA 235. Awesome visitor
47. Nordstar 737, landed earlier on the wrunway then any other aircraft
48. Blue Air from Romania
49. And grab this one, the 250th Airbus of Easyjet.
50. And the last one. photo is a bit messed up, but this was also one of the great visitors, Transearo Tu-214.

Ah, that's why LOL. Thanks! But why would Bosnia and Herzegovina have two prefixes (T9 & E7)? Wouldn't that be to seperate the Srpska's from the Bosnians?Gerard wrote:As a matter of fact it is not that funnymarcel32us wrote:Funny that your Bosnian Cessna caries Republika Srpska titles

Hi everyone!
T9 is old prefix (allocated to Bosnia & Herzegovina from May 1993), and he's returned to the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) on 7th August 2007. From 8th August 2007. the E7 prefix was allocated to Bosnia & Herzegovina...
