Activity Orange / Istres

Post by Wellhead »

All,

I'am in the south of France and will visit Orange and probably also Istres.
Does anybody know if there is any flying activity at Orange and maybe what the best flying days are?
And also maybe for Istres.

Thanx i.a.

Last year around this time 2 Mirages 2000C flew every mo-fr between 10-12h and c. 14-18h from Orange. Here you also have the chance to see a 2000B training approaches.

You should be able to see a few KC135s at Istres on a daily basis. Today you'll be able to see CTM2044, a C130, likely 61-PB.. Don't know what the 2000s are doing at either Istres or Orange..... :(

Hi, if you get lucky at Istes you could see /expect an Egyptian AF Rafale. Last week some photos wth 3 rafales were published on the net. In the text said that the photos were taken near Istres. 1 +1 = 2 ......... :D
