WEF January 2016

Post by digpictaker »

Does anyone know which Swiss Air Bases will be used to cover the WEF this January 2016? I know last year Meiringen was used. I remember someone telling me that each year a different air base is used to cover the air space.

Thanks in advance for any information.

Hi everybody,
I was planning a trip to Payerne for the WEF but I've just read about the new fences. Did anybody any experience with the new situation?
I'm guessing that for the landing there should still be some good place, but how about the takeoffs? And finally the stairs became a "must" ?

Many thanks in Advance,
Best Regards,
Marco

Hi,

was there in november and had no problems standing on that old sheter on the south side... Just stay on the ground and walk up the shelter / hill only when moves take place.

Approach is not a problem.

So going to Meiringen is pointless, or do they have their 'normal' operations?

Thank You Oscar01, too bad that the weather forecast for saturday did not justify an 16 hour drive...
Still good intel for the future!
