Another airline bites the dust. Estonian Airlines will cease all operations as of November 8th due to insolvency. Reason for insolvency is the fact that the aid OV recieved has been deemed as state aid and thus OV has to repay EUR 85mln + interest.

Zakennieuws en Telegraaf melden dat Jet Airways begin volgend jaar (jan-feb-mrt) slots heeft aangevraagd en gekregen voor drie dagelijkse vluchten naar Schiphol. Telegraaf meldt daarbij dat bronnen rond KLM bevestigen dat een groot samenwerkingsverband tussen de twee maatschappijen rond is. Daarmee wordt een enorm gat voor zowel KLM als Schiphol opgevuld aangezien er vanaf Schiphol nog slechts 1 dagelijkse verbinding is met India momenteel.

1,5 Jaar geleden waren er ook al slots aangevraagd door Jet Airways. Toen ging het verhaal niet door, met name door vertraging van een overeenkomst tussen Etihad en KLM. Hopelijk komt er nu wel schot in de zaak.

You may have missed the underlying message in this statement, as it is a very Indian article.

The article is clearly intended to prepare its audience for an announcement by Jet Airways that BRU will be exchanged for AMS.

- KRK 06.00 – 08.00 AMS KL1992 F70 daily
- KRK 12.15 – 14.15 AMS KL1996 F70 daily

From Summer 2016 the equipment will change to E90.
