Spine24 Posted in his message that four airbases will be used during FF16. For some reason he deleted his message.

FF participants will problably fly from Leeuwarden, Leeuwarden, Leeuwarden and ... Leeuwarden!
And maybe there will be tankers at Eindhoven for exercise EART, wich uses FF jets to practice its own procedures.

Sorry, missed that one...Arjan wrote:Ah...well that I didn't known...thank you so much

One of the lessons learned from the near-miss (LN F15 vs KLC F70) above Germany during a Frisian Flag exercise a couple of years ago, was that all participants have to operate from Leeuwarden. This way every participant will be physically present at the briefing each day prior to the mission. This does not include participants in EART (which is actually a different exercise)!

Flugzeug Forum (a dutch guy doubleugly) reports different: As Red air, Turkish F-16's 161Filo at Wittmund and Swiss hornets at Schleswich.

Could it also have to do with pure physical capacity at Leeuwarden. Not talking about parking spots (sure they will have enough of that), but a few years ago the launch of the morning mission took almost an hour, with the first one recovering while the last had only taken off 15 minutes earlier. Not much time left for a full scale exercise that way.

They're using AAR to extent the mission.
On top of that, spreading the red forces over two different airbases doesn't sound very logical.

It would sound more logical if this info belonged to Jawtex in june.FISHER01 wrote:Flugzeug Forum (a dutch guy doubleugly) reports different: As Red air, Turkish F-16's 161Filo at Wittmund and Swiss hornets at Schleswich.
