I've heard some interesting news from inside...
If all goes to plan both dutch F-35 will/should arrive around last weekend of may. Then two weeks of environmental test flights and back to the US just after the open days...
but hey, nothing is certain these days..

On Twitter: Irish PC-9 confirmed for static, as well as an O-2. Methinks the Teuge-based aircraft.

On the Dutch MoD-website it is stated that the F-35 is on static display during the open days.

Think we haven't mentioned the NATO Sentry on static yet?

Flying should always have been something to be decided at a short term. It depends on if the pilot can get enough extra time in the sim to work up a display. That sim though is very busy for the test program.Ivarb98 wrote:Voorlopig staat hij op static. (Wss is dit al geregeld maar is het nog een verrassing)

Flying would be more like up and down the runway straight and level and perhaps an afterburner pass. Nothing more than that. Do not expect a display. They don't even perform a display in the US with nearly a hundred flying. Although in the US this year might be somewhat different.

Only one, and it should be F-001.
Answers will be questioned.....

Only 1, read somewhere that the other has special equipment onboard that does not allow the aircraft to fly outside the United States. In that same article F-001 was mentioned as the one that will come.Arjan wrote:Will they both cross the pond or only one?
