Pictures of the landing J-3088 not only show that most of its right horizontal stabiliser is missing. It also has major damage to the right flap and the right exhaust nozzle appears to be out of line as well.

After the crash of 3086 two aircraft declared an emergency. Was 3088 the only one that returned damaged or was there a third involved?

The number 1 also declared an emergency, but that was more of a general emergency call out that'd something had happend with one of the aircraft.

Judging from the photo it is not only the right horizontal stabiliser the Swiss maintenance people will have to replace....

With the planned withdrawal of the PdS team and it's F-5's... you could think about this bird to be withdrawn from service.

Flap and horizontal stabilizer doesn't sound like a big deal to replace (without any knowledge of the work involved obviously). And pulling two planes out of the team, wouldn't that leave them with too few planes to finish the season? They do not have that many planes in the first place.

They still have enough "grey" planes left, which aren't used for most of the year since they are militia planes.

Yes... you are right. But they do have at least one spare F-5 left. Besides that... I don't know if there is more structural damage not visible for our eyes?

Oh no, no way, you are going to recover all aircraft parts that you can find!

Swiss military justice officials will carry out one of the probes into the accident, with the Dutch authorities leading a flight safety investigation.

The Patrouille Suisse aerobatic team has been grounded till the results of the investigation are released.

A decision on the participation in the upcoming Meiringen air show in canton Bern will be taken on Wednesday.
