F-35 Air to Air
Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

F-35 Air to Air
During the deployment of the OT&E team with their two F-35's to Leeuwarden, Netherlands, i had the opportunity to join in on the KDC-10 T-264 to do some refueling with both F-16's and the F-35.. Impressive!

The links say Jan Dijkstra Stephan but nevertheless, the pictures are great. I like the F16 photos the most.

My apologies, Jan! It's the 'nice shots!!'-part that counts the most

Don't be be so humble. These shots are awesome. Much better than the Crebas photo's.I consider that as a compliment Stephan! And no.. My name is not Frank Crebas..
Just because someone can afford the most expensive gear and can afford himself a visit to an aircraft etc to make photo reports doesn't necessarily make him a good photographer. I think that a lot Crebas' pictures are overrated. He just has good connections. I think a lot of people here make much better photo's.
Money can buy you a lot of things but not talent.
I always say a boy can learn more at an airport than at any school.

Very nice pics indeed, and considering that there shot trough a tankers plane side window instead of an F16 canopy a agree that talent makes a good photographer

Re: F-35 Air to Air
Must be said that crebas latest shoot with the F-35 had a lot more potential had he not had a tight time schedule an a single photo moment during each overflight

Re: F-35 Air to Air
Thanks a lot guys! I agree that the pictures from frank are most of the time a bit overrated.. Technical ok but nothing special en pretty common, apart from the seat he is in and the belonging views..
Nevertheless, he does a great job so calling this pics Crebas style.. I still consider that as a compliment.. Indeed taken out of a small tiny window set the stakes a bit higher..
