Nothing has been decided yet. The Government only recommends the purchase, but it is still up to Parliament to decide which aircraft type and how many aircraft we should buy.Coati wrote:Aaaaand...we have a new F-35 operator! This time Denmark, opting for 27 aircraft for now. Denmark has been a long time partner in the F-35 partner as a level 3 partner. This leaves Canada as the only country of the participating countries to decide to purchase the F-35 or not.

Re: F-35 Lightning II developments
I only get to 105 for the LRIP X order, being the 68 for US but only 37 for foreign customers (Norway: 6, Italy: 1, Australia: 8, Israel: 10, Japan: 4, Turkey: 2, South Korea: 2, UK: 3 (B), Italy: 1 (B))Coati wrote:Total sum of US F-35 for the US is now 68 for LRIP-10 (47 A, 15 B, 6 C), plus 39 aircraft for foreign customers makes 107 (!)

Re: F-35 Lightning II developments
UK: I had 4 (B), but indeed the order for 4 was split between LRIP 10 and 11, so my error: only 3 F-35B for the UK.Bjorn wrote:I only get to 105 for the LRIP X order, being the 68 for US but only 37 for foreign customers (Norway: 6, Italy: 1, Australia: 8, Israel: 10, Japan: 4, Turkey: 2, South Korea: 2, UK: 3 (B), Italy: 1 (B))Coati wrote:Total sum of US F-35 for the US is now 68 for LRIP-10 (47 A, 15 B, 6 C), plus 39 aircraft for foreign customers makes 107 (!)
Greets,
Italy I had even 4 F-35 on my list, 2 A and 2 B. Here the source for the Long lead procurement order.

Not sure if they changed something, or that the Italian orders are taking more time.

Free/ loose translation: in the perception of the neighbours the F-35 is less noisy than the high pitch whine of the F-16.
Mission complete....

From what I gathered is that AM-03 does not exist. They skipped a number. Or at least thats what I've been told. Will keep my eyes open though.
