Meppen Range 2016

Incomplete Meppen Range Log 12-10-2016:

10:00u LT: OUTLAW 01 (P-3C / 60+05)
Later in the morning: OUTLAW 03 (F/A-18 Swiss AF) from/to Wittmundhafen, later on I heard a Swiss fighter jet on Lippe Radar & Rhein Radar heading for Switzerland. I guess this was the F/A-18.
Between these visitors (and in the afternoon) some helicopters were active overhead the range, no callsigns or types. Most of them started from the Meppen heli-port.
Beside the Swiss F/A-18, only the Germans participate in this exercise so far.

Thanks for sharing Edwin. Only have a small update. One helicopter stationed at Meppen this week is a CH-53G. Beside the CH-53G, there is at least one helo more active at Meppen but type unknown.

Thanks for sharing also "UH" ! Today, in the afternoon between 13:30 local and 16:00 local was the H-145 busy and afterwards followed 2 Schleswig Tornado's, both single ship.

The Tornado should have been 46+44, after refueling with KC-135 above the Meppen Range it came back for the second time.

H145M 76+07 and CH-53G(S) 84+30 were both on the helipad around 10.00 this morning. Transall 50+65 was making circuits above the range.

Saw an Orion playing at approx 12.30lt while racing the A31...

Some additions for today's PM logs: After the Orion, a helicopter started exercising. I missed the part between the last helo mentioned and 16:00 local time. At 16:00 local time, Smash32 left the Meppen range. This was an Eufi of TLG31, according to mode-s the 31+40. After the Eufi, a helo started exercising as Outlaw06. This was the last one for today. When I heard it right, a German Eurocopter Tiger helo arrived also today, and guess this was today's Outlaw6. But this needs to be confirmed. Hope it helps.
