Re: Damgarten open dag 15-03-1994 - Question
Interesting log, never saw it before I think!
Regards, Paul
It is interesting that 02/25/32/42 and 45 had already left when the unit finally departed on 11 april 1994. According to BAR ten aircraft had departed on 22 March. 03 from your log was not seen during the final years and might be a misread for 53 which was one of the aircraft that already had departed before the rest of the unit.Otto wrote:Hi all,

MiG-29UB 80 white 773 IAP N50903001052
Note that this one is N80003001052 rather than N509030010152 which is the coded plant designation for the later aircraft (and much more common)
MiG-29A 05 white 773 IAP 2960705571
This was not a Fulcrum-A but a Fulcrum-C The MiG-29C as stated in your log is actually a MiG-29S Fulcrum-C (type 9-13)
Note that the MiG-29A in your log is actually a MiG-29_ (without anything) 9-12. The MiG-29A was the 9-12 export version delivered to the WarPac allies while the MiG-29B was the 9-12 export version delivered to other non-WarPac countries such as Iraq, North Korea, Cuba etc.

Re: Damgarten open dag 15-03-1994 - Question
Thank you very much Paul!
Neither I saw a full log of this open day.
Ref your comment regarding MiG-29 (9-13) 03 white, this one is mentioned in the Scramble showreport, just as 53 white.
Maybe the green camo c/s can clear things up?
Can you perhaps explain the two digits on the tail?
Anyone for the following missing c/n's:
MiG-29UB - 74 white
MiG-29S (9-13) - 03 white (Green camo c/s)
MiG-29S (9-13) - 32 white
MiG-29 (9-12) - 21 white (Green camo c/s)
Anyone for the unit of MiG-29UB 66 blue outl.

Re: Damgarten open dag 15-03-1994 - Question
It contains lists of all known aircraft to have operated for the VVS in the GDR, but as far as I could see, nothing new for you

Interesting! Does this book also contain detailed lists of the Mig27's and 23's at Brand?
