Atlantic Resolve: US Army heli's enroute - via Bremerhaven

According to the following sources around 80-90 helicopters are loaded with destination Europe. Around 20-24 Apaches from Ft Bliss and around 50 Blackhawks and 10 CHinooks. Headquarter will be Illesheim AAF for the duration of the deployment (9 months).

Any clue which vessels they are loaded on and where/when they will be expected?

In the past they used ARC (American Roll-on Roll-off Carrier) company for their helicopter transports. So this time probably the same. No idea on their arrival date, destination probably Bremerhaven, as in the past.

Total of 12 Chinooks and 37 H-60s were offloaded. Departures to Nordholz will start tomorrow, depending weather, at 8AM. Most of Chinooks to Katterbach (Ansbach) H-60s to Illesheim. Ship left last night for Thessaloniki with 8 more H-60s on board which will form the detachment at MK airbase in Romania. Blackhawks for Latvia will arrive via C-17.

With regard to the ships: ARC shipping seems to have a contract with the US Ministry of Defence and their ships visit Antwerp and Bremerhaven almost weekly. Also with regular commercial goods.
ARC Endurance was not in the schedule this time, probably because it was exclusively chartered for this mission. Maybe they wanted to keep its passage secret, although the social media accounts and websites of various US Army entities spilled too many beans for that

With regard to Antwerp, I do not think they have the layout or capacity to handle the off loading and flying out of these quantities of choppers?

Endurance can be tracked via Marinetraffic. Most likely all their vessels.

All ships can indeed be tracked via AIS, offered/exploited by various commercial sites. You have to upgrade if you want to see the really relevant stuff (like exact time schedules, the ETA's given are often many hours off)

For Antwerp, the harbour pilot ("loodswezen") publishes more accurate timing on the days before and after arrival (see: https://www.loodswezen.be/Lis/verwachte ... NL&soort=O for arrivals and https://www.loodswezen.be/Lis/verwachte ... NL&soort=A for departures.)

Off-topic.....About the ETA's; ETA for the port of Rotterdam is always Maas Centre. A fixed point some nautical miles ahead of the entrance of the port near Hoek van Holland. Transit to Rotterdam Centre, Wilhelminakade for instance can be around six to ten hours. Next to that one depends on availability of tugs, berth, bridges, tide etc. This could explain the difference between ETA and berthed.

Can imagine this also applies to other large ports.

This beast requires two tugs. But before that, it spends an hour or so in the locks and its speed is much slower while manoeuvring as well (pilot needs to get on board too I think?).

For Endurance this meant +7 hours on ETA in Antwerp and +6 hours on ETA Bremerhaven.

After that, berthing and securing the ramp can take another hour. Customs need to clear the load before it can be off loaded.

That is another two hours.

So ETA+8 hours before debarkation can start at the earliest.

Did notice some nice helicopters this afternoon in Bremenhaven, these guys will be flying in Europe for the next 9 months..
Only struggling with the fy’s from the blackhawks. From the UH-60L’s these are known… but for the others??
Think that the HH-60’s (Air Ambulance) should be 11/12/13/14..? The other MH-60’s should have fy 07 for the lower numbers and 12/13/14 for the higher??
Anyone knows?
