23.13UTC Can anyone please identify the aircraft/UAV with callsign "THOR60" and hex AE0440 that is plotting on ADS-B at this time over Nellis/Las Vegas at about 2000ft?

Nellis and Las Vegas are actually at 2000ft (above sea level), so it could be on the ground! It's also a public holiday today.

Could well be. There was UH-60L 00-26868 [AE1827] showing almost immediately afterwards - possibly just tests.

Reason why I asked is that the hex/callsign (always together) is normally seen on ADS-B over North Carolina (Special Ops out of Pope/Bragg?), so it's a long way from home.

Bob, i have no prove at all, however i think AE0440 and AE0441 are Cessna208B/ U27A of the 427th SOS at Pope/ Ft Bragg.
I have 5 in my database being 66047/66048/86022/12-01276 and 94-07007. I don't know which ones are still active. 94-07007 was on Yuma static in 2015.
Most if not all hexcodes around AE043*/044* are Either Cn235's or C32B from Spec.ops.
About two weeks ago a 427thSOS Cn235 was operating out of Las Vegas/ North on a daily basis, so perhaps this one is also on a det. over there.

You are probably right (as usual). The hex codes of the CN235s and C-32Bs are well known - unless they are now doubling up.

So that only leaves the U-27s - though they might have some "goodies" that we know nothing about!! Incidentally, 12-01276 went through Mildenhall on 28-29/08/2012, then to Stuttgart and then onwards (presumably downrange somewhere). It was using its serial as its hex code (i.e. 121276) then.

I too noticed "THOR60" up over the Las Vegas area at around 15,000ft this afternoon (around 16.00-16.15UTC) and was hoping that some member might be in the vicinity to identify it (wishful thinking).

As at 22.20UTC, it is plotting NW of Oklahoma City at 11.000ft heading ENE at 168kts......going home, I assume.
