15/6: Spottersday Tactical Weapons Meet, Florennes

The TWM 2017 will take place on Florennes airbase from the 5th till the 16th of June. And ther will be a Spotter's day the 15th of June!

5 Nations will be involved in the exercice, some other information will follow soon ; https://www.facebook.com/1SqnStingers/?fref=ts

2 spots positions will be available, one along the main runway and another along the secondary runway (used as taxi for the exercice). Both positions will be freely available throughout the day.

We are preparing the largest fighter jets exercise held in Florennes since the last TLP on our airbase in 2009!

The TWM 2017 will take place on our airbase from the 6th till the 16th of June. And there will be a Spotter’s day the 15th of June. Five nations will take part to this exercise.

Access to the spotter’s day will be based on a pre-registration as well as prepayment. No access/tickets available otherwise on the day of the event.

More info (registration, etc..) will follow around mid-March.

Tactical Weapon Meet 2017 Dear aviation fans,
Here are the latest updates for the TWM and for its Spotters Day.

The inscriptions for the 15th of June TWM Spotters Day are open:
• Access in Corenne gate (North of the base) from 0600L till 0900L (a map will be sent during the inscription process).
End of activities around 1900L.
• Price: 35€ (31£) per person.
• Payment

o By this bank account: IBAN BE69 0012 2133 4878 – BIC GEBABEBB – Add the names of the people covered by the payment
o By PayPal on this address: 1sqnstingers@gmail.com – Add the names of the people covered by the payment

• This price includes the access to the complete spotters day and a very nice 100 pages book about our Squadron’s history
• Inscriptions go through this mail address: SpottersTWM@mil.be
• At inscription, please refer the names of participants, join a scan of your ID cards and which payment mean are you using (bank account or PayPal)
• Hot food, soft drinks and PR souvenirs will be available on site (at your own expenses) – Only cash in € will be accepted
• Inscriptions and payment not later than 1st of June

Some additional information's

2 spotting zones will be available, one close to the main runway and the second along the secondary runway (used as taxiway for the exercise), both positions will be freely available during the day.

5 nations will be present with Typhoon, Hawk, Mig-29, F-16 and F-4. Other visitors, from other countries apart those invited, are invited and thus possible during the Spotter day, more information will follow in due time.

TACTICAL WEAPON MEET – UPDATE 3 – PLEASE SHARE!

Dear Followers,

Here is our third update of our TWM Spotters Day. First of all, you are more than 730 people registered! THANK YOU!!!
IMPORTANT: We received some payments from several people, but with no mail. We usually answer and confirm the registration the day after reception of the payment. Some very short additional delays might occue due to workload in the Squadron.
IF YOU PAID SEVERAL WEEKS AGO, BUT DID NOT RECEIVE ANY ANSWER FROM US YET, PLEASE SEND US A MAIL AGAIN TO OUR SpottersTWM@mil.be MAIL ADDRESS.

Then, as promised, here are the participants who will take part to the exercice:
- 3 Italian Air Force EF-2000
- 3 Spanish Air Force EF-2000
- 3 Greek Air Force F-4 Phantom
- 3 Polish Air Force Mig-29
- 3 Royal Air Force BAe Hawk
- 1 Norwegian DA-20
- Many Belgian F-16, including some special ones! Surprise!
- We are also expecting some special guests!
