The aircraft entered a hold, the crew subsequently decided to return to Amsterdam advising they would land at a slightly higher than normal speed but needed no assistance.

The runway inspection found evidence of a tail strike,
traces of about 7 meters length were visible.
A deepened review of communication between aircraft and Air Traffic Control then revealed, that the crew while climbing out informed ATC that they
suspected to have suffered a tailstrike,
following confirmation of traces on the runway
the crew operated under the presumption of having being involved in a tailstrike,
stopped their climb reporting a technical problem and returned to Amsterdam.

Corendon breidt haar vloot uit met een nagelnieuwe Boeing 737-800. “Het is voor het eerst dat we een toestel direct bij de fabriek hebben gekocht”, zegt topman Atilay Uslu tegen Luchtvaartnieuws.nl.
Het nieuwe toestel wordt ondergebracht bij Corendon Airlines, de Turkse vliegtak van de onderneming.
