I saw some beautiful pictures at EWAS.nl my friend. But you have to register and it's all in dutch.

Really wasn't expecting the Apache to be where it was, so wrong settings = blurry photos :(

Missed the CH-53 fuselage but i found a Tornado cockpit from 45+60.
Can anybody advise where was the CH-53 fuselage was (and the Tornado cockpit for that matter!)? We parked at the Northwestern end and walked in, so I guess we came from the wrong direction?

The CH-53 was in the northern dispersal area of the runway. On google maps you can see it in the second bay on the right side.

After the German P-3 departed (ca. 12.20h) I saw a yel/orange L-18 flying north of Geilenkirchen in the direction east. I took off from GKN.
As there were 2 at the Open house: D-EGFG from Nordholz and D-EFTB marked as 96+31 from Hangelar
Anyone a clue which one I saw??

Right, I can see it now! Pity, we were close but not close enough!

Thanks for the info Frank!

In the dispersal on the other side there seems to be a Huey. Did anyone see that one as well, or the opposite, can anyone confirm that one wasn't there (anymore). On the image from 2009 it is visible, later images are either not clear, or it seems it is gone.

What an excellent day Monday was for the departures congratulations to all the crews and Staff on GK for making it a day to remember
Special thanks MUST go to AmericanSoldier15U for his updates over the weekend and providing (with his pilot and AH64 pilot) one of the stand out moments of the aviation spotting/Photography year (well for me anyway)
Thank You

I do miss the following callsigns (from arr or dep day):
C-27J Rumanian AF
MiG-29UB
M28 0205
2x AMI F2000

Anyone?

What was the serial of Nato E-3 behind the blue s/c E-3 (450)?
