Exciting for the pilots. Always funny to read how each air force indicates that they scrambled to intercept the approaching bombers. When in fact they "just" took over the escort from fighters from another country.

Technically it's still an alpha scramble and they go for the intercept since they are directly guided to (predicted) position of the target group. I know.
