Hi,
As there is no "regular" Nellis topic yet (only Flags), I thought I created one.... At Nellis these few days. Arrived this afternoon (Sunday) and went up the hill to see what was there. LOTs of heatwaves, so could not read anything. Will go tomorrow morning again. Here are the "specials":
12x AK F-22
8x HL F-35
9x HL F-16 (residents now?)
6x FT A-10s
5(?)x Growler
4x USAF Osprey
3x MC-130
2x E-3A
1x RC-135
1x E-8A
1x MD A-10 (resident now?)
Must have forgotten some, but more to follow next couple of days.
Ow, and 2 Ospreys went out as Pyro81/82 around 17.00.
Cheers,
Oz

Not sure, but I think all the Hill F16s belong to the new 24th TASS.

Re: Nellis, 2018
They do! They have 10 and they’re slowly getting repainted.
The Growlers are from VAQ-135, NL520-524

Re: Nellis, 2018
The CV-22B's are: 08-0047, 09-0043, 12-0062, 13-0068. They came through TX on their way to Nellis April 16th.Oscar01 wrote:Hi,

Not positive on the MC-130's but one came through NAS Fort Worth: 89-0282 March 16th as well. Same as the CV-22's above. Not sure where it was headed but could be one of those three.
Cheers,
Tally.

Re: Nellis, 2018
Nice log! Working on mine at the moment, but might take another few days (2 weeks western us). At least 1 addition. The above mentioned MD A-10 should have been there (close to the Ospreys) as well. It left Friday morning (27th) back home.
Did you read the MH-47s yourself? As there were also 2 (different) ones at McCarren....
Cheers,
Oz

Re: Nellis, 2018
The MD A-10 had been there for a while, and there had also been an FT one (80-0256) with the 'locals' recently. Guess they were loaners to replace the two that the 66th WPS lost last September?
Yes, I read the MH-47s, plus the two at McCarran (05-3734, 08-3778). A quick snap at the right time of day reveals the answer!
