NAS North Island MIL 2018

On the 7th of March we visited San Diego. Watched NAS North Island from several points during a not that busy afternoon. We have noted several Blackhawks, but we cannot find the serials which belong with the codes. No results in the Scramble database. Hopefully there's someone here to help us out. The codes we read (mostly from pictures) are:
SA42
SA45
SA52
SA53
SA54
SA55

Hans van der Vlist visited on Saturday 17 March 2018.

I had a closer look to the SA coded Seahawks from HSC-3.
Only one pops up. SA-42 is Bu166302

Sure on the high numbers in combination with the SA codes? I see high numbers with WC codes, all belonging to HSC-23.

Most probably indeed they are HSC-23 helicopters, coded WC. These are situated near the HSC-3 and HSC-21 heli's, at least when we were there on March 16.

WC-45 (168580) HSC-23
SA-42 = 166302 HSC-3

A couple BuNo / serial requests from a quick visit April 28th/29th 2018.

Four VMM-261 MV22's sat on the line, EM17, EM18 +2
USAF C-130 with yellow tailband.
MH-60s: SA12, SA13, SA615, SA617 & TG31.

Over at the FRCSW storage ramp were Hornets RA29, FH59, RP84, RP90, RP95, RQ22 and RQ21or31 with modex 300. Plus two fresh overhauled CH-53E's of which only one was id'd as 162502.

Also near the fire station (32.691446° -117.211321°) are an F/A-18 and C-2. I'm sure the C-2 is a former SARDIP yard inmate.

During a base visit in March 615 and 617 were both seen, carrying no letter code. These were 163792 and 164842 respectively. They were parked between many others that did carry code SA-xx, and 615 also carried the badge of HC-3, so these should be your birds. The other three codes were not seen by us.

Anybody for the id of a Hornet with maintenance code R041, also seen in March?

SA-42 = 166302 HSC-3

During our visit in March 166305 indeed didn't have a letter code, and 166302 also didn't have one, at least on the right hand side it only carried 42 (photo proof). WC-45 was not seen by us.

Thanks Patrick. I see we actually logged 615 & 617 without the "SA" code (copy/paste error), so most likely they are the same. Especially as there's not many HH-60H's around still.
We didn't log an RO41 or RQ41 in depot, sorry.

Was at NASNI aswell, two weeks ago and did the harbor boat tour. This resulted in approximately 50 Sea Hawks read. Regarding the maintenance codes for the Hornets, anyone who know how to make the translation between these codes and the buno's?

Can you share the actually read or photographed serials with code tie-ups of the Sea Hawks with us?

There's two ways to tie-up depot codes with BuNo's, read the BuNo from the a/c itself or get it from the paperwork/infobord.
Depot code's are used only once, but one aircraft can get multiple depot code's, depending on what maintenance/overhaul is required.

I made a list over the years with lots of tie-ups. Send me a PM and let me know what you need.

In March there were 2 deck trainer hornets parked between some cars and 1 Hornet as a fire i/a (the same as on google maps?).

Decktrainers are parked a bit further away. The Hornet at the firestation is still 164700/303 and my "C-2" is actually the broken up E-2C 162798 that was previous in the SARDIP yard.
