Cathay Pacific will replace the daily B77W with A350-1000 starting 1st December 2018

CX has adjusted its schedule for December 2018, the A350-1000 will only operate 5x weekly initially and the A350-900 will operate 2x/week:

- HKG 0025 – 0610 AMS CX271 359 Tue, Sun
- HKG 0025 – 0610 AMS CX271 351 Daily ex. Tue, Sun

- AMS 1245 – 0655 HKG CX270 359 Tue, Sun
- AMS 1245 – 0655 HKG CX270 351 Daily ex. Tue, Sun

From January 2019 CX will operate the A350-1000 daily.

EasyJet also increases AMS-VIE-AMS from 7x to 9x weekly, with 2x frequencies on Monday & Friday.

SCHIPHOL - China Southern heeft de reguliere inzet van de Airbus A380 op de lijndienst Amsterdam - Beijing beëindigd.
Vanaf vandaag vliegt de Chinese maatschappij weer enkel met Airbus A330's naar Schiphol.

De A380 werd sinds 10 juli op de route ingezet om aan de grote vraag in de zomermaanden te kunnen voldoen.

Nu de zomer voorbij is, is die extra capaciteit overbodig.

How so? Given the difficulties to obtain slots at Schiphol this might be the best there is to offer at the moment?

The new Winter 2018 timetable contain a few further changes:

KLM increases capacity to certain European destinations by replacing KLC with mainline KLM aircraft.
- AMS-AAL B737 2x/daily replaces E190
- AMS-BLQ B737 1x daily replaces E190 (first time in Winter)
- AMS-KRK B737 1x daily replaces E190
- AMS-CAT B737 3x/weekly in Winter (new route until Xmas)

British Airways increases LON-AMS-LON further by allocating slots to LGW, LHR and LCY on different days:
- LHR-AMS up to 10x daily on peak days
- LGW-AMS 4x daily on Fridays and now also Thursdays
- LCY-AMS 8x daily on Tuesdays only

Air France operates NTE-AMS 3x daily with E190, A318 and A319.

AMS-DXB will increasse to 33x/week over this Winter:
- HV 5x B738
- KL 9x B772 seasonal increase only
- EK 19x (14x A380 + 5x B77W)

To cut operating losses, Norwegian has announced the temporary suspension of HEL-AMS-HEL during the deepest winter period January & February 2019.
