Re: Savannah/KSAV 2018
Mi 171E 15-5207 just departed SAV headed north calling N5207. Black serial in photos on-line has been replaced by an almost invisible pink one on the boom.

Re: Savannah/KSAV 2018
Catching up from here:
U28A 08-0700 has been flying from here on and off for the past few weeks as "Dagger 81". First noted Oct 13th
C20G 165094 flew last week as "Bloodhound 041" so may be going to VX-30?
The BDR C130 that has been here for years (57-0477) is slowly being dismantled and it looks like its place will be taken by the former PR ANG C130H 65-0984 that has been parked here since May

Re: Savannah/KSAV 2018
Does anyone know why VMFA-115 hasn't converted over to the 'C+' (originally Lot 10/11; to late-model 'C') by now? They initiated the conversion some time ago (with one or two aircraft, one being lost). Another squadron was also to convert to the 'C+' as well.foc1 wrote:Some Hornets noted today were:

Re: Savannah/KSAV 2018
Per the latest Marine Aviation roadmap, it appears that VMFA-115 is to operate a mix of the 'A++' and 'C+' versions. Reserve unit VMFA-112 is also to receive some 'C+'s, although so far I have only noted the addition of some ex-Navy 'B's.sdamico wrote:Does anyone know why VMFA-115 hasn't converted over to the 'C+' (originally Lot 10/11; to late-model 'C') by now?
