US Navy P-8A TDY reports for Japan

Not VP-8 but VP-16 (LF) has arrived at Kadena late August to replace VP-45 (LN) on tdy. P-8A's noted sofar:

By early April, VP-8 'Tigers' assumed their first P-8A TDY here,having replaced VP-5 'Mad Foxes' and the following Poseidons have been noted up to the end of the month,

VP-8 P-8A 168851 was on detachment at U-Tapao RTNS during July-this would appear the be the sixth Poseidon from the Tigers on detachment here.

The Mad Foxes (VP-5) may well still have a small number of Poseidins here, with the occasional sighting here and at U-Tapao in the last couple of months of their airplanes.

On Tuesday 21st September several P-8As from VP-10 departed NAS Jacksonville, FL to NAS Whidbey Island, WA on the initial sector of a deployment to Japan.

The following day 3 VP-10 P-8As were recorded arriving at Elmendorf AFB, AK. These were,
