Hi All,
Next week I'm off to PDX for a short business trip. When time permits I want to try my luck at PDX to spot some Mil aircraft such as the ANG Eagles and hopefully some FBO visitors.
Has anybody been there? If so please give me some advise.
Kind Regards,
Niels

Re: Spotting@PDX
Maybe it’s easier to call it Portland, since most people probably have to search for PDX first...

Spotting is easy from the top of the carpark in front of the terminal. Taking pictures is also possible. With a car its just hop from one side to the other when something is arriving. You can read off the F15s from the carpark.

As already mentioned the parking garage top level is perfect....
The ramp on the right from the local Eagles is where they regularly have deployments....
Also check out Atlantic Aviation for visitors....
Easy place to spot so have fun !!!!
With best regards,
Luyt

On the 27th October I noticed four F-18s and 1 Red/White MH-60 in front of Atlantic. Anyone able to help me with the numbers?

Any logs on the eagles?

Landing shots on rwy 28L are best made from either NE 82nd Way or NE Alderwood Rd. There is parking there as well but since its FAA (I think) they may come ask what you are doing there. However taking pics is not an issue what so ever.
