Bali/Ngurah Rai (Denpasar) (WADD/DPS) - 2018

Post by witje »

Saturday 29-09 I saw a SAR Bo105 at Ngurah Rai airport. Unfortunately I couldn’t identify this nice helo because the tail was covered. Does someone know the serial of this one? It was standing next Polisi Bell429 P-3201.
Also An-2 L-1821 is still stored, but this time on the southern side of the runway.

Sorry that I can’t be of any help.

On 30-9 Navy Bell412 HU-4205 was present with an Army example, however the latter could not be read off.

That army exemple was also there on 29-09. Navy AB412 not seen by me.

On the 30th, it was parked one spot north of the Army Bell. With the doors open on the Army Bell, its camouflage and the setting sun, I couldn't make a read from the terminal. Sorry to be of no help to you.

Bo105 on 8 & 9 October was HR-1518 (next to the Polisi Bell429). Read from the swampy area South of the runway, accessible by car. You're in full view of the tower so take care as Police and Army patrols are frequent. You can stand fairly invisble if you walk close to the Concrete factory. All platforms can be scanned from this spot. More to the east also a spot to observe aircraft on the platforms.
