Gast, we snappen je wel. Denk om je bloeddruk. :’)Marcovh wrote: Last attempt and then I will give up. We can expect 10x F-16. 8x for flying within FF and 2 spares for FF. Are you really not reading any other source than Scramble? Please check your pix of all previous years and you will see that not all of the aircraft flown in the morning are flying in the afternoon, but the number of aircraft is the same. So in the afternoon are flying the morning mission spares.

Thank you, and a happy spotting,

It is indeed not of much use to "add fuel to the fire" / "olie op het vuur gooien".
To those to whom it may concern: do not fan the flames any more.
Back to topic please, thank you.

Does anyone know if there are any other participants that will arrive this friday? Or have all the participants already arrived?

kijk dan is dat ook weer bevestigd
Re: EHLW 10-04-2019
Tankers are up, so i guess rumours about cancellation for the rest of the week proved to be wrong, or have been solved one way or another.
Re: EHLW 10-04-2019
NOTAM for departure of the swiss was allready active last thursday, so it was no surprise to anyone on base that they would leave yesterday.AK01 wrote:Tankers are up, so i guess rumours about cancellation for the rest of the week proved to be wrong, or have been solved one way or another.

Head of Ops of Leeuwarden also confirmed yesterday that the exercise continues without them.roberto wrote:NOTAM for departure of the swiss was allready active last thursday, so it was no surprise to anyone on base that they would leave yesterday.AK01 wrote:Tankers are up, so i guess rumours about cancellation for the rest of the week proved to be wrong, or have been solved one way or another.
Re: EHLW 10-04-2019
Can you guys please stop suggesting that Frisian Flag cannot go ahead without the Swiss Hornets? It is absolute nonsense to think that the entire exercise would have to be cancelled if less than 10% of the participating aircraft go home.AK01 wrote:Tankers are up, so i guess rumours about cancellation for the rest of the week proved to be wrong, or have been solved one way or another.
The fact that the Swiss had to leave early (for very legitimate reasons) was known well in advance by the FF organisers, and they acknowledged that it would not be a serious problem. There will be no replacing aircraft, so rumours about Rafales coming to Leeuwarden are also false.
Just be glad that the Hornets flew in 75% of the FF missions anyway. They will not be able to participate in any other major international exercise this year, so seeing them fly in FF was a bonus already. They will not be taking part in the NATO Tiger Meet at Mont-de-Marsan either.
The Swiss are very enthusiastic about their participation in the exercise, so we might see them return to Frisian Flag somewhere in the future.
