Re: Caen mil 5-6-19
Saw a white gulf depart Caen whilst driving there at 0950 and nothing on the civilian side 15 minutes later besides the two Gendarmerie EC 135's coded JDF and JDH.
So already gone...

Re: Caen mil 5-6-19
I have been at Caen in the landing from app. 17.30- 20.10. I have not seen the above mentioned C32-A and C37A. I think they might have been on route to Evreux.
I did see an AdlA Falcon on the tarmac at Caen at 17.10, together with 2 DC3/C47 but no IDs yet.
Arrival at 17:53h AdlA Falcon without markings which should have had Macron on board.
Followed by RAF BAe 146 reg ZE701 at 18:14
19.15: NA-66 Harvard II AJ941 arrived for arrival at Caen-Carpiquet.
Followed by the first wave of Daks, which did not drop any jumpers over Sannerville. i have not read the regi's from them yet.
they were followed by 2 P51s: 472216/M-HO and KH774/GA-S
At 19.49 the second wave of Daks turned up to allign for landing, after having dropped quite a number of jumpers at Sannerville drop zone.
I left the Caen approach around 20.10 again.

C-17 (ADS-B 09-9206) just landed (22:45LT) at Caen, so the Trump taxis may be gone soon.

Re: Caen mil 5-6-19
Had a try to get to the airport on the 6th arround 1430ish, sadly no joy in getting near the aero club on the north western side. Gendarmes seemed a bit nervous at the time. Whilst passing west of the airfield the presidential flight was coming in to land so if I had gotten in I would have been in the right place at the right time.djeek2 wrote:I have been at Caen in the landing from app. 17.30- 20.10. There were two, yes 2 C-32's on the tarmac before the terminal al that time, too far for reading and the only place to stop I was waved off again by our friends in dark blue... Anybody who can shed a light on those?
Couple of French Super Puma's flying arround at the same time which managed to keep passing at impossible angles.

Re: Caen mil 5-6-19 additions 7 and 8 june
Was on Caen on both days. the 4 MV22 and 2 VH60s were there on the 7th. C17A 930603 was leaving at 10.30.
During the day, at 12.29h C40 20042 came to Caen and parked on the Terminal side. At 12.54 C37A (02)1863 landed.
on the 8th, the VH60 were gone, and the 168332/10 was doing engine runs at 18.30. At 1900 an C17A arrived, which I misread as 17163, which I cannot find as acurate.
Furthermore, the P51s were not there anymore as far as I could see from the terminal area..

Re: Caen mil 5-6-19 update June 9
Passend the airfield early afternoon, seeing an C17 in landing ADBs showed it as 000175. I saw it deparing later again toward the north.
I also saw a 6 ship C130 flying easterly direction. Could not find them on ADBs unfortunately due to driving without a parking in sight.
On our way back south, we made a Quick stop at aen Carpiquet again to see the MV22s having moved into a more spaced configuration, as if ready to be loaded into some big cargo hole.
Perhaps that of the 77169/Dover, which was on the platform at 9.30PM.
Tomorrow back tp NL, so no more updates from me anymore...
