I would advise to buy a ticket and go to the museum as well. Especially since all museums are having to face difficulties during COVID-19, it would be fair to pay them for all their great work. Plus: it is a very interesting museum of course.GerritsFinest wrote:Line up as follows excluding the standard residents: D-5803, CR 69275 (now with engine nozzles installed), L-11, T37 65825, G-10, 225 K, 160 V. Are the aircraft outside nicely parked for photos? Any examples?
Might go and try coming weekend. And what would be the best time with regards to the sun? I'd prefer to shoot them with the base in the background (so early morning), but I'm not sure whther they would be in the shade of the building then...

If they are parked the same way like last time expect light on them around 0830lt, just out of the shade of the museum-building.patrick dirksen wrote:Are the aircraft outside nicely parked for photos? Any examples?

Patrick all aircraft are parked nicely and the Phantom is positioned perfect. Best time is during the morning/early afternoon.patrick dirksen wrote:Are the aircraft outside nicely parked for photos? Any examples?

not fully correct although it is open terrain, gates are closes between 20:00 and 08:00 hours, during this time you need te know how to enter, little gates for walking around, but the last 2 days there is extra surveillance carried out by KMAR ( Mil. Police) and Securicor. I was send away during my visit 2 days ago at about 21:00 hours. I would advise to come early in the morning or late in the afternoon.

Thx for the correction. Was there at 0730 but no problem or what so ever. Securicor passed on the platform indeed but they left me. Maybe I was lucky.merktech wrote:not fully correct although it is open terrain, gates are closes between 20:00 and 08:00 hours, during this time you need te know how to enter, little gates for walking around, but the last 2 days there is extra surveillance carried out by KMAR ( Mil. The planes are parked outside due to the upcoming move from the Catalina to the "Nederlands Transport Museum - Nieuw Vennep" on August (29). In addition, lighting will also be replaced in the depot hangars. The planes are perfectly positioned outside.
