New England Air Museum, Bradley CT 12/9/19

Hi,

Part of the reason for visiting Bradley Int'l. was the nearby New England Air Museum

The exhibits here are absolutely amazing, all of them are in pristine condition, with some quite unique aircraft

Thanks for the kind comments

We got talking to one of the volunteers who was re-painting the nose art on the B-25 Mitchell, he then gave us a tour of the storage hangar and the restoration hangar

Very difficult to shoot in here very dark and very cramped

I was surprised to see this model tucked away in the corner, apparently Kaman who are based nearby were very interested in building it under licence

Finally we went in the restoration hangar were we saw this which is very close to going back on display. Again, the level of workmanship is unbelievable

The plane is a Burnelli CBY-3 Loadmaster and this is the only example that was built.

It's difficult to get a true idea of the plane from my shots as this was quite an unusual design, so I have included a link to an article on the restoration which shows one of the few images that exist of the complete aircraft
