Monday departure is set for “around 10.00”, according to the RNLAF.

But if Omega is going to fly both T-264 and T-235 one wonders why the RNLAF already sold T-264 in 2019....
Unless some great overhauling is to be carried out, one presumes that the sell of T-264 could have been done after the arrival of the first KC-30A in 2020?

Does this mean that “sistership” T-235 has also been sold to Omega Tankers which will use the aircraft as spares source for (ex) T-264 in the future? Or will T-235 end up being dismantled like former KLu DC-10 T-255 at Newquay for spares to be sold abroad?

Sorry I made a mistake! The T-235 will go to Omega Air Ref. Services end 2021 INCLUDING spare parts! So both KDC-10's will be flying for the time being then with Omega Air Refueling Services in the USA!

Thanks for the information. Apparently, it is still profitable to keep these “old ladies” in the air. Anyway, for Omega Aerial Refuelling Services the former KLu KDC-10s will be their first boom equipped tankers. They can now start offering their refuelling capability to the USAF. USTRANSCOM is already looking on the civilian market for additional aerial refuelling capacity due to a higher demand and delays in the
KC-46 deliveries.

Currently, the T-264 is at San Antonio AP for its D-check.

More than a year since T-264 departed Eindhoven but still no news when Omega Air will start flying the N264DE registered lady.

There are certain rumours that both she and T-235 will end up not flying for Omega after all. It was also mentioned at the local Eindhoven (EWAS) forum. Anyone with more knowledge about this?

If T-235 will not make it to Omega please sent her to the NMM (Dutch military museum), she is an important part of the RNLAF history..

The former T-264 is currently still at San Antionio AP with all RNLAF markings painted over and all windows and engines (preservatively) sealed. Unfortunately, no news about its future.
