I'm considering buying a scanner and since I know very little about it, I hope you guys can give me some pointers.
I just need one that I can take to the airport/ airshows and listen to the ATC and since I'm new at this, it wouldn't mind if it was fairly user-friendly .
I hope you can point me in the right direction.

Re: Question about scanner
I would recommend the UBC125XLT.
Both civil and military frequencies can be heard on it and you can keep 500 frequencies in it, spread over 10 banks. It is expensive though, at 150 euros, but well worth it for me. They also have one that has less banks and can keep fewer frequencies and also only scans civil (VHF) frequencies, which costs 75 euros

Re: Question about scanner
Please keep in mind some legal issues. Although most countries seem to be quite relaxed, using scanners is not always allowed.
