Hi all,
I'll be spending four days at MCAS Iwakuni this coming April, and wondered how many Hornets (and F-35s) can be expected in afternoon missions when the light is optimal. I'm pretty sure the numbers would be no less than 20, but if there is anyone who can update me with the latest information will be hugely appreciated. Also, do JMSDF P-3 and US-2 fly often?

Re: MCAS Iwakuni questions
Hi Jamie,
I visited Iwakuni for 2 days in April last year. The CAW was very active at these days, with F18s, E2s and C2s all caught flying.
The F18s did one launch each day, but with over 20+ aircraft.
Also on both days multiple P3s and US2s were seen flying.
You can find a log of my visit here viewtopic.php?f=84&t=146606
And pictures through my Flickr link.
